BEST IN-HOUSE RECRUITMENT TEAM 2024
Talent Acquisition – Reckitt
An example of this team’s outstanding performance: by the end of 2023, the Reckitt recruitment team delivered a critical business objective to fill 400 roles across the UK, Poland and India within its IT and digital function. This was accomplished through a bespoke recruitment campaign that successfully navigated budget constraints, low brand awareness in the technology sector and the high demand for tech talent.
The strategy centred on conducting in-depth research and insights to understand the target audience, followed by the creation of a messaging framework and a media plan that leveraged LinkedIn, Google Search and PMAX, a goal-based campaign type that aims to enable advertisers to increase conversions across Google’s range of advertising channels. The team focused on developing a cohesive suite of branded motion assets that communicated the four pillars of Reckitt’s IT and digital proposition: purpose, impact, learning opportunities and collaboration. The assets were seen as pivotal to engage potential candidates by resonating with specific interests and needs.
Three candidate personas were created for cyber security and risk, engineering and development, and product, data and strategy roles, with content tailored to each audience segment and with particular emphasis on location-specific messages. This personalised strategy made the campaign relevant and engaging for potential candidates across different regions.
Other achievements include reducing the number of first-year leavers at the company, enhancing diversity among candidates, and an increase in candidates receiving higher performances ratings over their first two years.
Judges’ comments
“Reckitt evidenced that agility is key to their effectiveness. Moreover, quality of hire features within the metrics upon which success is measured, so they are able to evidence the extent to which their work is both reducing first-year attrition and improving performance ratings.”
